This is a piece I wrote for my sister’s 40th birthday. She was a fan of a cabaret song I wrote, and of 1940’s jazz in general, so I decided to write something in that style. I then recorded it on a friend’s Yamaha Disklavier in LA, which functions like a an old-fashioned pianola.
